This dry-style Pinot Gris comes from a single block of vines on the Greystone Vineyard. The grapes grow on calcareous clay soils which leads to a Pinot Gris with inherent minerality and richness. A portion of the wine was aged on yeast lees for four months before estate bottling without fining.
Light golden in colour with a nose of fresh stone fruits, wild fennel and hints of cream. The palate flows with fine-grained phenolics, integrated fruit-laden acidity and an abundance of Nashi pear and white peach flavours.

Bright, even straw-yellow colour with pale golden hues. The nose is softly rich and concentrated with well-packed aromas of white and yellow stonefruits along with honied notes and yellow florals, and a suggestion of spice. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has soft, rich flavours of white and yellow stonefruits and subtle notes of honey and exotic florals. The palate has a rounded and unctuous texture with balanced, integrated acidity, underlined by some alcoholic power and drive. The wine flows smoothly to a lingering finish of stonefruits and honey. This is a softly rich and unctuous dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit, honey and floral flavours with good drive and smooth flowing linearity. Match with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 3-4 years.

Fragrant, varietal and pure with abundant fruit and spice aromas of Gris – honeysuckle, peach, white peach and quince. On the palate – equally engaging with a core of tree and white fleshed stone fruit flavours; some residual sweetness and plenty of acidity bring balance and a long harmonious finish. Drink now and through 2022.

Powerful and generously expressed, the opulent bouquet shows grilled pineapple, baked pear, mandarin and floral characters with nuances of spice and candied ginger. The palate delivers excellent fruit concentration and fleshy mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by silky texture and perfectly pitched acidity. Flavoursome and gratifying.
