Pepper, cinnamon and dark cherries with a lush and deep fruit profile that drives the palate complemented by sweet oak and forward tannins. Notes of spice and pepper shine through the dense fruit, with a touch of liquorice and sweet cinnamon. The palate is medium bodied with a long finish. A vibrant Structured tannins build the palate which finishes bright and fresh.

A very dry and mild to warm spring provided ideal weather conditions for budburst and flowering , which was quite early. As a result yields across most varieties were good. The dry conditions continued into summer at which time in early January we had more than an inch of rain which was timely and then dry weather continued until May. The summer did not have any prolonged heat waves and in early March the night time temperature really dipped and this did slow the ripening of grapes due to the cool to cold nights. Due to the fantastic weather there were no disease issues.
