Limoncello is a traditional Italian lemon liqueur. It is said that Limoncello production dates back to the 1600’s and it was first developed in convents. Santa Marta is produced by the Francoli family distillery in Northern Italy using Sicilian lemons. Limoncello is the second-most popular liqueur in Italy. It has recently become a favourite in other parts of the world. Restaurants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand are increasingly offering Limoncello on their beverage and dessert menus.
